Do you happen to be in a hurry and need to publish your post in matter of minutes? Taking some images to improve your post might be exhausting and time consuming, but with the help of zemanta, adding pictures to your post has never been this easy.

Zemanta is an add-on for firefox that modifies your interface when posting in your blogging platform e.g. Blogger, Wordpress, MovableType, etc. The modification includes (for blogger) a new toolbar at the right side of the post editor, and some recommendations for images, links, and labels.

Download Zemanta for Firefox!

Download Zemanta for Internet Explorer!

Here are some advantages and disadvantages on using this add-on for your blogging.

Advantages

• Provides you with links, labels and images that may dramatically boost your page rank and the quality of your post.

• Instantly gives proper credits to the source of the image you use.

• Compatible with the popular blogging platforms.

• It is also compatible for firefox and internet explorer.

• Also provides an easy image search besides from recommending images for your post.

• It can be disabled in times you don't need it. (firefox - tools >> Zemanta >> Uncheck "Enable Zemanta")

• HTML code can be converted into a clean xHTML code by going to preferences. (Under "HTML Code Style")

Disadvantages

• For those who happen to like to keep the coding of their post clean, adding a photo would cause a big block of messy codes.

• Loading the post editor might take some more time than not having the add-on.

• Some links at the bottom right (Updates) might be interfering.

• Image inserted via Zemanta took me some hard time positioning.

The add-on might have some flaws, but I reccomend you trying Zemanta by downloading it for your firefox or internet explorer.

Blogger's Block Tips and Useful Sites

Serious blogger who wants to climb the google result pages needs to work double. First, a blogger needs posts, and a lot of them, though high quality and original posts is what you need to climb to top of the results. Though, what will you post if you have nothing in mind? Easy, get inspired. Yeah right get inspired, but what if your inspiration does not match the theme of your blog, for example your thinking of your vacation, though your blog is all about education. That is what we call the "Blogger's Block" where you have no good idea on what to post about. Well keep on reading for some tips and websites that might help you out into a great topic.

Some Tips

• If you have an idea in your mind and your away from the computer, make sure to list it down.

Don't think about complicated things, sometimes a good post comes from a simple idea.

• If you happen to be on the computer and the nets down, write down your next post on notepad, and post it later on.

Be satisfied with your layout. Sometimes you don't feel like posting something because you don't like your layout. If you really want to change your layout immediately then try to do at least 2 scheduled posts first so that you could have free time tweaking it.

Read. Yes read, reading other blogs rather than yours also helps you gather some idea. You might bump into a topic that is quite interesting for you, though make sure not to copy that topic, be original.

Have someone besides you. Sometimes idea pops out of you while staring at the computer and chatting with the one besides you.

Always have a deadline for that topic. Setting a deadline for a post is essential though it is hard to implement if you lack discipline. With a deadline you are sure to finish a post, if you happen to not like the post, you can still edit it. Though editing published posts is not recommended, reviewing before posting is better than editing.

If possible kill the music for a while. Music can interfere if it is too loud, or it can make you get lost while typing when you happen to love the song that is currently playing. While doing your post, try to stop the music for a while, except if it's instrumental, I don't think it does a lot of distraction anyway.

Focus on your goal. Usually being at the front of the computer gives us a lot of distraction, sometimes we open a lot of other websites, or we chat with someone instead of doing the post. Take a break and have a cup of coffee, and think of what post you should do, after posting you are free to do whatever you like. Remember you can't multitask, always make your post of the day first before doing something else.

Okay, now this is not much because the actual main purpose of this post is to present to you some websites that might help you out of a blogger's block. Anyway, here are some websites that will probably help you.

Skribit allows you to receive posts and suggestions from your readers. And also has a large archive of ideas which is categorized according to their type.

Problogger - Darren Rowse has wrote a very long and effective post on how to battle the blogger's block. I would recommend you to read this post.

Creativity Portal - This site will help you find out what to post next with the help of some images. Though I think the suggestion changes once a day only.

Since google pages wont be supported by google anymore, we now need to get all our files from google pages and migrate them somewhere else. A good site for storing all your online files would be at HotlinkFiles.com. You can register there as a free user and have a free 1 gigabytes of space and a total of 4 gigabytes for your monthly bandwidth. It has a very easy to use uploader too like in google pages, the only difference is that, if you want to make a webpage, you can do it manually and upload it there. You can also organize your files in folders, unlike in google pages which creates a total mess.
